Medical Record Documentation Required for EPSDT Screenings.

The Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) service is Medicaid’s comprehensive and preventive child health program for individuals under the age of 21. This benefit helps to ensure that children receive timely and appropriate preventive, dental, mental health, and developmental services. To perform EPSDT screenings, providers must complete and sign the MS Division of Medicaid’s (Division) EPSDT provider agreement. Prior authorizations for EPSDT screenings are not required for Magnolia Health (Magnolia) participating providers.
