Flu/Strep Claims Denials - Update

Magnolia Health completed a statewide project on 1/2/2018 that reprocessed all claims whereby payment was denied for flu/strep tests performed during the same office visit. 

CPT codes included in this project were:87880, 87804, 87502, and 87561.

Dates of service included: 1/1/2017 - 10/16/2017

Magnolia Health does cover flu/strep tests performed during same visit, when medically necessary.
