TTEC Cyber Incident Notice for Medicare Members

On Oct. 27, 2021, TTEC Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (“TTEC”) discovered that it experienced a cyber-incident between March 4, 2021 and Sept. 12, 2021. During that time, an unauthorized actor viewed or downloaded data files stored on TTEC’s systems that included information about Allwell members.

The information involved in this incident included individuals’ name and one or more of the following:  address, date of birth, Medicare ID number, social security number..

Upon learning of the cyber incident, TTEC took the following actions in response to the incident:

  • Immediately activated its incident response plan and analyzed the files involved.
  • Coordinated with law enforcement authorities, including the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), on the investigation.
  • Distributed notification letters to affected individuals as quickly as possible.

We have no indications of inappropriate use of members’ information. However, out of an abundance of caution, we recommend that potentially affected individuals take reasonable steps to ensure the security of their information.

We are providing individuals affected by this incident with one-year of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection services. Instructions on how to enroll in this service were included in the letter sent to affected individuals. The letter also provides a reference guide of recommendations from the Federal Trade Commission on how to protect against identity theft, including information about free credit reports, security freezes, and fraud alerts.
